Boex Release 10.0.0 Is Here
Release 10.0.0 introduces a major set of enhancements focused on user management, faster signing, improved Xero integration, and a smoother overall platform experience. Here's what's new:
Smarter user management and permissions
Boex now includes a more flexible permissions framework designed to help you manage your team with confidence.
New User Roles
You can now assign one of four roles to each user in your organization:
Owner
Trade Manager
Trade Supervisor
Trade Associate
Each role provides a different level of access, allowing you to control who can manage users, create trades, approve transactions, and perform administrative tasks.
Full user lifecycle management
With Release 10.0.0, you can now:
Invite new users to your organization
Assign and update roles
Deactivate users when they no longer need access
Transition existing users to the new permissions model
Subscription plans linked to roles
Subscription plans are now connected to the permissions framework, making it easier to understand which features are available to your team based on your plan and assigned roles.
CounterSign (Formerly FFF): Sign Without Registering
We’ve made it even easier for your counterparties to complete trades.
Counterparties can now receive a secure email link, review the trade details and documents, and sign directly, all without creating a Boex account.
Optional registration
If they would like to join Boex, they can choose to register during or after the signing process.
Full audit history
Every action taken during the signing flow is recorded in the Activity History, including:
Signing
Commenting
Requesting changes
Resending verification links
This ensures complete transparency and traceability throughout the process.
Improved Xero integration and document drafting
Several enhancements have been made to streamline importing invoices from Xero.
What’s new
Import button added to the Products tab
Confirmation message before importing to prevent accidental overwrites
Clearer “Discard changes” messaging
Buyer details are locked when imported from Xero and the buyer is not registered in Boex
Helpful tooltips explain why certain fields cannot be edited
Character counters added to large text fields
Trade Terms Updates
We’ve introduced several important updates to trade terms and document handling.
Incoterms® removed from trades
Bills of Exchanges no longer display Incoterms®, ensuring the document remains focused on the payment obligation.
Expanded jurisdiction options
You can now select:
London
Edinburgh
for both Choice of Law and Place of Jurisdiction settings.
Time Zone Validation Improvements
Presentment dates now validate correctly based on your local time zone.
Better notifications
Notifications are now more informative and tailored to your user role.
Xero error notifications
If an invoice import fails, Boex will display a notification with a View error option so you can quickly identify and resolve the issue.
Role-based notifications
Users will only receive notifications relevant to the permissions assigned to their role.
Enhanced document upload support
The Other document type now supports a wider range of common business file formats, including:
DOC and DOCX
XLS and XLSX
CSV
ODT and ODS
This makes it easier to upload supporting documents in the formats your business already uses.
In-app support on every page
The Intercom Messenger chat widget is now available across all pages in Boex, giving you instant access to support wherever you are in the platform.
Additional improvements
Release 10.0.0 also includes a range of usability enhancements:
Improved privacy by limiting search results to organizations associated with your account
Updated transport temperature fields on Bills of Lading for better structure and consistency
